Welcome! My name is Alyssa
and I really am so glad you’re here.
I HAVE INSISTED ON BEING BEHIND A CAMERA SINCE I WAS LITERALLY 2 YEARS OLD SO YOU COULD SAY I WAS BORN TO DO THIS.
I LOVE HOW EVERY WEDDING IS DIFFERENT AND HAS ITS OWN STORY. I LOVE BEING A PART OF A WEDDING DAY AND WITNESSING THE LOVE, TEARS, CHAOS, AND LAUGHTER EACH MOMENT BRINGS. THE PEOPLE ARE MY FAVORITE PART OF ANY STORY.
I am prone to crying during mother/son dances and my day is always made when a baby wants me to hold them.
In 2016 I graduated with my BFA in photography and have been documenting weddings ever since. I have the best job in the world and treat every wedding as if it were the most important day ever, because it is.
Why “documentary photography?”

Documentary photography is about recording history. I think of documentary photography as proof. Proof of life. Proof of experience. Proof that reminds us of what we felt.
Proof of what actually happened.
I believe true stories are more compelling than manufactured ones, that candid photos are more interesting than posed ones, and most of all, I believe that weddings are for experiencing, not performing.
Your job is to experience your wedding.
My job is to show you proof of that experience.
(But don’t worry, focusing on real moments doesn’t mean we have to skip portraits or group photos! But how much of your day that takes up? Totally up to you.)

includes a 3-5 minute highlight reel shot on silent super 8 film using vintage super 8 cameras. available for download from your gallery!

Engagement sessions are a relaxed and fun way to spend time together in front of my camera before your wedding, so everything feels more natural on the day. as a bonus, you come away with some great couples photos to remember this time in your lives!

Let me know which collection you’d like to go with and I will send you an agreement and invoice. A signed agreement and 50% retainer officially reserves your date!

AS MANY AS NEEDED TO TELL YOUR STORY. While every wedding varies, you can expect a minimum of 50 beautiful images per hour of coverage WITH ONE PHOTOGRAPHER, AND ABOUT 100 PHOTOS PER HOUR WITH TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS.
